June 26, 2024 - SMART Technologies is thrilled to announce that SMART has been recognized at the Socinfo Digital “MURCIA TIC” Awards in the category of Cooperation of ICT Companies with the Public Administration (AAPP). This award underscores our dedication and inherent passion for enhancing digital experiences for all users, young and old.
This award comes in response to our elder care pilot in Murcia, Spain, and our innovation in the interactive display market, designed to enhance the physical, cognitive, and social skills of the elderly. Earlier this year, SMART installed 65-inch SMART Boards in three senior residences across Murcia and provided comprehensive training for the users and staff. Murcia is the third region worldwide, alongside Denver and Melbourne, to implement SMART Boards to improve the well-being of senior care residents.
Luis Alberto Marín, Minister of Economy, Finance and Business, stood alongside SMART Technologies' Vice President, Ruben Cammaerts, to launch the pilot program. This collaboration between the regional government and our company highlights the importance of the pilot program and our shared commitment to improving the lives of seniors.
