The MADI to IP Media Function supports IP adaptation, synchronization and processing of audio signals. It provides up to four bidirectional electrical MADI interfaces or two bidirectional optical MADI/AES10 interfaces. Audio processing includes de-multiplexing of MADI inputs, flexible internal routing with mono shuffling, as well as per-channel audio gain and delay control. The MADI Media Function runs on the Virtuoso HBR accelerator and supports two 10GE ports for IP audio, with up to 128 input and 128 output streams, fully compliant with AES67 and ST2110-30/31. High availability is ensured with ST2022-7 hitless/ seamless IP protection switching, which is supported for all audio streams with no impact on audio channel input/output density. The MADI Media Function is optimized for high-speed processing to ensure minimum end-to-end latency, making it well suited for live IP production and remote/at-home production.
