The subwoofer SONA SUB is the perfect bass complement for the SONA range. It's unobtrusive and compact appearance fits discreetly into every architecture. The SONA SUB may be visually hidden or intentionally be used as an element of interior
design. The depth of only 17,5 cm allows to hang the subwoofer like a picture on the wall, or to fix it discreetly in ceilings. The SONA SUB is supplied in the standard colours black (RAL 9005) and white (RAL 9010). Optionally, special RAL colours are available. The functional fastening points in the double keyhole design allow the horizontal or vertical mounting to walls and ceilings. The quick and precise mounting is ensured by the drilling template, included in the delivery. The front grille may be removed without tool, giving access to a boring in the bass reflex tunnel for the securing of the speaker against fall down and theft. The SONA SUB is connected by a Speakon NL4MPR or by a four-pole Phoenix connection. Connections are located in a large compartment on the back side, with enough space for cables, plugs and wall outlets, allowing a flush mounting with hidden cable access. During the conception, the bass-reflex tunnel received a particular attention. The new construction of a T-tunnel provides the required length for the tuning of low frequencies, in spite of the compact dimensions. The SONA SUB does not impose its sound, but it is rounding off the sound experience in the lower
frequencies, in a precise and musical way and free of artefact. This is why the SONA SUB, together with the speakers of the SONA range, provides a perfect sound for short-distance auditory
The SONA SUB may be controlled by universal electronic frequency-separating filters (e.g. DSP) or by the digital system controller K&F CD 44. The SONA SUB may be powered by any final amplifier
with sufficient capacity.
